School Statement | |||
| HISTORY: Founded by King Ludwig I of Bavaria in 1866. Recognised by the State as a 'Gymnasium' (secondary school) in 1884. In 1942 the school was closed, but re-opened in 1945. The school was recognised as a full secondary school ('Vollgymnasium') in 1970; the first 'Abitur' was in 1973. In 1974 the school reached college level and has been a 'European Gymnasium' since 1994/95. There is day boarding for all pupils and a wide choice of syllabus. Both the school and the monastic community are housed in the same buildings. FINANCE: Bavarian school finance laws apply. There is a Diocesan subsidy and independent management of the school. | |||
Exchange Note | |||
