School Statement | |||
| Founded in 1926 as a private school without public recognition. Form classes alternating (?) with boarding establishment. Public recognition in the State System in 1931. Closed by the Nazis in 1938 after the Nazis too over Austria. Secondary school and boarding school opened in 1945. Four alternating classes. 1986 enlargement of the secondary school to 8 classes. Girls accepted; technical training given in carpentry and goldsmith work, voluntary, in t higher grades. Special Features: Workshop training (see above) Day boarding at all levels Special attention to music. Higher Boarding School with 30 places (mostly male). Head is Dr. Anton Averböck Finance: School fees subsidised by school owners (the monastery) Annual Report available since the school' foundation Old Boys Association with 520 members, "Verein Alt-Seckau" | |||
