| HISTORY:
1723 - 1803 'Seminarium Sancti Godehardi' functioned as a church school.
1925 Became a 'Latin School' (a Grammar School).
1956 Pupils take 'Abitur' ( school leaving certificate) for first time. The school was initially a Fine Arts Academy.
1967 Modern languages introduced.
1972 New school buildings erected for Grades 7 to 13; Grades 5 & 6 are housed in the old monastery building
1983 A double Sports Hall added to the buildings.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
The school has been coeducational since 1965. Day boarding is compulsory for Years 5 to 8. The school offers a general and specialised curriculum.
FUNDING:
The school is State- financed according to the School Finance Laws of the Bavarian Free State. The Diocese of Passau meets any school deficit. |
