School Statement

Saint Gertrude High School is a Catholic independent, private college preparatory day school for girls. There are about 275 students are enrolled in grades 9 through 12. The school emphasises college preparation and offers many honours and advanced placement courses. The teacher-student ratio here is about 1-to-9. The Benedictine Sisters of Virginia founded the school in 1922. The Mission of Saint Gertrude High School is to be the choice of young women who want a superior academic education in an environment of Christian value and cultural diversity. Saint Gertrude High School is the only all-girls Catholic high school in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
