| The Saint Scholastic School was funded in 1905, which arrived of the Tutzing Missionary Benedictines sisters. The sisters arrived two years before in Brazil, and began their work in Olinda, Pernambuco. On September,28^Th .1905, they arrived in Sorocaba, brought to Baltazar Fernandes, to give spiritual and intellectual assistence for the population. The sisters' educative activities began in the room of the Saint Benedict's monastery, which was closed since the death of Friar Barauna in 1890. The number of pupil increased quickly, like this, the sisters looked for spacious room and changed for the large house in the Rosary square, built in 1870 for hands of slaves.
