School Statement | |||
| Benet Academy is a four year, college preparatory, private co-educational, Catholic, Benedictine, day high school founded in Chicago in 1887 and relocated in Lisle in 1901. Its 114 year history reflects the education of young men at St. Procopius Academy and of girls at Sacred Heart Academy which were operated separately until the two academies were jointly staffed by the Benedictines of both monasteries in 1967. The co-educational school was then named Benet Academy. The Benedictines set the tone for every aspect of the educational effort. A pervading sense of family is shared by students and faculty staff alike. The student is a member of the Benet family and is recognised as part of the total Benedictine community. | |||
